Onomatopoeia: How do you Laugh?

Onomatopoeia can widen the meaning of verbs – in English we can distinguish different types of laughter through using ‘hehe’ or ‘haha’ for example.

While kusukusu warau クスクス笑う means to laugh quietly to oneself, geragera warau ゲラゲラ笑う represents uncontrollable loud laughter!
